Derek joined Myriad Benefits in 1990 as an associate.  He became a Partner in May, 2005.  He received his B.S. in Marketing from  the University of Idaho in 1991. Mr. Stephenson is President of the Eagle Rotary Club. He is also a member of National Health Underwriters Association and Boise Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He is actively involved with Saint Marks Church and School. He is also involved with the Eagle Chamber of Commerce. Derek has served on the Primary Health Broker Advisory Council. He has been designated as a Preferred Broker with Blue Cross of Idaho, Regence Blue Shield and Primary Health Plan.

Prior to joining Myriad, Derek began his career in the health insurance industry in Seattle, Washington working for Anthem Health. He also worked for CNA and United Health Care as a District Sales Manager covering four states. Returning to Idaho, he was a Group Representative at Primary Health. Derek has over 15 years in the health insurance and employee benefits arena.
